Franklin J. Foulke
Franklin J. “Frank” Foulke, 81, of Schnecksville, formerly from Neffs and Zephyrhills, Fla., died Dec. 31, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife, Bette L. (Gianelli) Foulke, were married 58 years.
Born April 12, 1941, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Franklin H. and Margaret C. (Schmitt) Foulke.
After graduating from Allentown Central Catholic High School, he faithfully and honorably served his country four years in the U.S. Air Force during a peacetime era.
He was a central office technician at Ironton Telephone Company for five years before retiring in 2005.
Before that, he worked for the former Bell Atlantic/Verizon, Allentown, for 36 years.
Active in the life of his community and church, he was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church (Egypt), Whitehall.
A member of the Neffs Volunteer Fire Company from 1973-2005, during which, he served as assistant chief for several years.
He formerly served on the North Whitehall Township Planning Commission and was also a member of the former North Whitehall Ambulance Corps, now, NOVA, EMS where he served as an emergency responder and treasurer.
He was a member of Allen O. Delke American Legion Post 16, Slatington.
He loved taking many camping trips with his family and was fortunate to have traveled worldwide making life-long friends and memories that sustained him throughout his life.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by children Lisa A. Bradley (Norm) of Fleetwood, Carol M. Fryling (Ralph) of Neffs, and Steven A. Foulke (Helen) of Allentown; granddaughters Catherine N. Anderson (Jesse) of Ephrata and Elizabeth M. Fryling of Neffs; great-grandsons Noah and Henry; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was predeceased by sisters C. Doris Piccerillo and Barbara A. Boyle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Jan. 5 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 4456 Main St., (Egypt), Whitehall.
The Rev. Msgr. Daniel J. Yenushosky will be celebrant.
Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Thursday in the church.
Private interment will take place with military honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at a later date.
