Margaret P. Bentz, 89, of Laurys Station, died Dec. 24, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. She was the wife of the late Donald Bentz for 52 years.

Born in Bath, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Hilda (Smith) Roth.

She was a Northampton High School graduate.

She was a seamstress and helped with office work at multiple manufacturing companies for 44 years until she retired in 1997.

She was part of the Keenagers group at her church, St John’s United Church of Christ, Laurys Station.

She was active in the Laurys Station Fire Company and was on the auxiliary board.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Haney and her husband Morgan of Laurys Station and Carol Wentz-Meining and her husband Stephen of Palmerton; a sister, Althea Bruch and her husband Art of Northampton; four grandchildren, Joshua Wentz, Daniel Wentz, Courtney Wright and Jesse Haney; two stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Annabelle Roth.
