James L. Sharkey Jr., 75, of Emmaus, died in his home Dec. 26, 2022, of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS. He was the husband of Dana K. (Althouse) Sharkey for 50 years. Born in Easton, he was the son of the late Frances (Musselman) and James L. Sharkey Sr.

He honorably served his country in the Army during the Vietnam era.

He is survived by his wife; sister, Judith M. and her husband, Ralph T. Veasey, of North East, Md.; sister-in-law, Cherie Wieder, of Allentown; niece and nephews; great-nieces and nephews.
