East Allen Township Public Works Department provides curbside collection for Christmas trees.
Pickup will be the first three Mondays of January. Pickup continues Jan. 9 and 16.
The trees are taken to First Regional Compost Authority, where they will be chipped and processed as mulch, which then becomes available for pickup in spring.
Trees must be free of lights, plastic bags, ornaments, stand, tinsel, etc.
Place trees along the edge of your lawn. Do not put your tree out with regular garbage.
If you can’t wait for the curbside pickup or missed the dates, you may bring your tree to FRCA, 6701 Weaversville Road, Northampton.
