Bethlehem: PeepsFest lights up the sky with two nights of fireworks 3 - 6 p.m. Dec. 30 and Dec. 31, SteelStacks, Bethlehem. Just Born Quality Confections’ commemorates its 100th anniversary. The ticketed outdoor event features fun and fireworks after the annual Peeps Chick drop. Families can book a skate session 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at The Ice Rink at SteelStacks presented by Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital. Festival tickets include Just Born Quality Confections goodie bags for children younger than 12, one coupon to redeem a free s’mores kit for children younger than 12, Peeps sampling stations and live music. There’s also the PeepsFest Scavenger Hunt, Leaning Tower of Peeps, cornhole, Jenga and crafts by Lehigh Valley residents. The Peeps Chick, 400 pounds and 4 feet and 9 inches tall, descends at 5:30 p.m., followed by fireworks. Returning Dec. 30 is the “Peepsonality Family Fun Run & Walk.” With a ticket upgrade, families can enjoy the annual run, early entry to the event, access to Peeps sampling flavors and photo opportunities with Lehigh Valley mascots. Allentown: New Year’s Eve Celebration, presented by Downtown Allentown Business Alliance, with live music and fireworks, is 9 p.m. Dec. 31 - 1 a.m. Jan. 1, Seventh and Hamilton streets, Allentown. The Presenting Sponsor is City Center Allentown and the City of Allentown. At 9 p.m. in front of the Lehigh County Government Center, there will be music by The Audio Files and dance performances by Ely Dance Studio. There will be specials and events at downtown restaurants, including but not limited to Fegley’s Allentown Brew Works, Bru Daddy’s, Bell Hall, Chickie’s & Pete’s, The Dime, and Tacos Y Tequila. There will be fireworks and a ball drop. “New Year’s Eve Day - Ring the Bell with Pip The Mouse” is at the Liberty Bell Museum, 622 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., Jan. 1. “Pip: The Mouse Before Christmas” will be performed. There will be juice and cookies.
Easton: The “Jazzberry Jammin’ New Year’s Event” is at Crayola Experience, 30 Centre Square, Easton. The 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Dec. 31 event includes music, carnival games and themed crafts.
