The 54th annual Tony Iasiello Christmas City Wrestling Tournament is also set to take place this Wednesday and Thursday at Bethlehem Catholic.

This year’s event features eight teams including Dieruff, Annville-Cleona, Berks Catholic, First Colonial (VA), Mid Valley, Roman Catholic and Western Wayne.

It’s a welcomed break for Jeff Karam and his wrestlers, as they get to spend time home over the Christmas break after trekking to Ohio and Delaware this month for the Ironman and Beast of the East tournaments.

There will also be a girl’s individual tournament run simultaneously with the event with awards going to the top four in each weight class.

Wrestling begins at 10 a.m. on Wednesday and goes straight through the third round of consolations, while Thursday’s action starts at 10 a.m. with the semifinals and goes through the day until a 45 minute break before the medal rounds.
