Clyde S. Harmes III, 91, of Schnecksville, died Dec. 20, 2022, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.
He and his wife, Eloise (Maurer) Harmes, were married 69 years.
Born June 25, 1931, in Lebanon, Lebanon County, he was the son of the late Clyde S. Harmes, Jr. and Josephine (Billingham) Harmes.
A graduate of Lehigh University, Clyde was a mechanical engineer at Lamm’s Machines, Allentown, for many years before retiring.
He was a member of Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, Allentown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Clyde S. Harmes IV and his wife, Jill, of Morgantown, and Candice L. Harmes at home; grandchildren Nicolle, Clyde V, Nathan, Caleb, Joshua and Josiah; and great-grandchildren Judah, Hannah, Finley, Cole and Jenna.
A private burial will be held at Union Cemetery of Slatington. There will be no calling hours.
