Roy P. Miller, 99, of Emmaus, died Dec. 19, 2022, in his home. He was the husband of the late Thelma M. (Leister) Miller. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Russell C. and Caroline E. (Kiess) Miller.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was employed at Mack Trucks as a machinist for 44 years until retiring.
He was a life member and past commander and adjutant of VFW Post #7088, Emmaus. He was an active golfer in the Emmaus VFW Golf League until the age of 90.
He was a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus.
He is survived by his son, Gene; daughter, Carol A. Young (Jim); grandchildren, Justin Young (Lauren), Melissa Ricci (Brent) and Adam Young (Lindsay); great-grandchildren, Brayden, Ava and Olivia; brothers, Raymond and Ronald; sister, Jean Kuhns. He was predeceased by siblings, Thomas, Robert, Richard, infant Donald and Cora Mae Hunsicker; stepdaughter, Linda Heller.
