Dale “Smoke” Thomas Ritter, 73, of Cherryville, died Dec. 19, 2022. He was the husband of Lynn (Kocher) Ritter for 30 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Pierce (Pat) and Rose Ritter.

He was a 1966 Dieruff High School graduate.

He worked for Local 375 Electrical Union for 44 years before he retired in 2011.

He was the catcher for the Trexlertown fast pitch softball team for more than 20 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his twin brother, Dennis with Sandy Ritter of Bethlehem; a previous spouse, Ellen Bennett of Whitehall; two sons, Joseph with Amy Ritter of Slatington and Scott with Kristy Ritter of Allentown; a daughter, Lauren Ritter with Thomas Schaffer of Allentown; and four grandchildren, Emma, Pierce, Bradley and Ashley.

He was predeceased by three brothers, James of Allentown, Thomas of Breinigsville and Daniel of Allentown.
