Governor Wolf Historical Society will have a New Year’s Eve party starting 8:30 p.m. Dec. 31 at Wolf Academy, 6600 Jacksonville Road, East Allen Township.

It will end 12:30 a.m. Jan. 1, 2023.

Pawnshop Bound will provide live music. The event is BYOB, but there will be soft drinks, mixers and ice. There will be food.

Allen Township is looking to fill two vacancies on the new parks and recreation board.

The full term is for five years. The initial term will range from one to five years. Meetings are held once a month.

East Allen Township Public Works Department provides curbside collection for Christmas trees.

Pickup will be the first three Mondays of January. Trees must be free of all decorations and placed along the edge of the lawn. Do not put your tree out with regular garbage.

You may also bring your tree to First Regional Compost Authority, 6701 Weaversville Road.
