Whitehall police are investigating a hit and run Dec. 15 that injured a pedestrian.
According to the report, officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle on MacArthur Road southbound, between Schadt Avenue and Mickley Road. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital, police said.
The vehicle that struck the pedestrian did not stop at the scene and is being sought by police.
Police believe the vehicle is a newer model-year Mercedes-Benz Sprinter-style van with a high-top roof. It is white with a black molding strip on each side. The vehicle would be missing the driver-side mirror and have damage to the front driver-side bumper, according to the report.
Anyone with information regarding the accident, or the whereabouts of the vehicle, is asked to contact Lehigh County Communications Center at 610-437-5252 and ask for a Whitehall Township Police supervisor or to email either Sgt. Paul Barnes at pbarnes@whitehallpd.com or Sgt. Kevin Querio at kquerio@whitehallpd.com.
