Peter G. Kelchner, 61, of Allentown, died on Dec. 17, 2022, surrounded by his loving family in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born June 13, 1961, in Allentown, he was the son of Janet E. (Fritzinger) Kelchner of Walnutport and the late Carl W. Kelchner.

He was a self-employed masonry contractor throughout the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos.

Having an adventurous spirit, he loved being outdoors.

He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Slatington, and attended Allentown Mennonite Church.

In addition to his loving mother, he is survived by a son Oscar M. Kelchner of Kutztown; sister Karlene K. Laub (Robert) of Walnutport; brothers Wayne C. Kelchner (Joanne) of Quakertown, Warren W. Kelchner (Diane) of Brodheadsville, Timothy R. Kelchner (Brenda) of New Tripoli, and Edward G. Kelchner (Tracey) of Allentown; stepsons Ray Keshel and Tyler A. Keshel (Mandy); and a large extended family.

His service will be private, at the convenience of the family. A celebration of his life will be held in the spring.
