Maxine H. Benedick, 75, of Kempton, died Dec. 16, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospital.

She and her husband, Ronald W. Benedick, shared 51 years of marriage.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late John and Elsie (Wilfinger) Yarema.

A nurse’s aide for Lehigh Valley Hospice for 16 years, she was a member of Emmaus Moravian Church and a board member of the 1803 House.

An avid gardener, she enjoyed working in her outdoor flower beds.

Above all, she loved her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons Jason and Jacob Benedick, and Joshua Benedick and wife Lacey Christman; daughter Sarah Benedick, wife of Greg Tumblin; grandchildren Robbie, Dylan, Lilly and Mason; and brother John Yarema and wife, Susan.

She touched the lives of so many people. She will truly be missed and will never, ever, be forgotten.

A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
