George G. Bitto, 63, of Emmaus, died Dec. 15, 2022. He was the loving husband of Nancy L. (Bender) Bitto for the past 41 years. He was the son of the late George M. and Lillian T. (Rowan) Bitto.

He had an impressive career at Air Products based in Allentown, where he served as the vice president of finance, chief risk officer and treasurer. He was then appointed as executive vice president and chief financial officer at Versum Materials based in Tempe, Ariz.

He was the first member of his family to graduate from college. He received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Villanova University in electrical engineering and was a long time basketball fan and season ticket holder. He received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1987.

He was a passionate supporter of all Philadelphia sports teams. He coached baseball and basketball youth sports teams and was an enthusiastic spectator.

He was a member of Lehigh Country Club and enjoyed spending time at his home in Scottsdale, Ariz. and playing golf.

He was an active member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Gregory, Daniel and his wife, Chelsea and Steven; sister, Mary Ann and her husband, Al Lincks; grandson, Brady.
