Evelyn G. Knauss, 88, formerly of Orefield, died Dec. 13, 2022, in Fellowship Terrace, Whitehall.

She was the wife of the late Charles W. Knauss.

Born Feb. 14, 1934, in South Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Allen S. and Mae I. (Wright) Huber.

She co-owned with her late husband, the Sunnyside Coin Laundry and Knit-A-Way, Catasauqua, for 19 years before retiring in 1998.

She also taught machine knitting.

Her survivors include children Deborah L., wife of Russell C. Meckes Jr. of Breinigsville, Richard C. Knauss and his wife, LindaSue, of Walnutport, and Charles S. Knauss and his wife, Yolanda, of El Paso, Texas; sister Nancy M. Laudenslager of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter.
