David G. Evans, 84, of Bethlehem, died Dec. 11, 2022, in ProMedica West Allen, Allentown.

He and his wife, Christine N. (Nole) Evans, were married 60 years.

Born Oct. 30, 1938, in Scranton, Lackawanna County, he was the son of the late David and Thelma (Ainsley) Evans.

He was a metallurgical engineer for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 40 years before retiring in 1995.

He was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Bethlehem, and a 40-year member of Concord Chamber Singers, Bethlehem.

He loved cross-country skiing trips to Vermont, and his love of travel and visiting national parks lives on in his family.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by sons Douglas G. Evans (Regina) of Downingtown and Bradley D. Evans (Lori) of Schnecksville; grandchildren Brandon, Bryce, Carlyn and Rachel; and great-grandchildren, Sophia and Harland.

He was predeceased by a grandson, Cameron.

His memorial service will be 11 a.m. Jan. 21, 2023, at Kirkland Village, 1 Kirkland Village Circle, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. on that Saturday.
