Coplay Food Bank is seeking donations for the holiday season. Much-needed items are canned sweet potatoes, canned fruit, Jell-O mixes, cereal, peanut butter, jelly and canned foods like SpaghettiOs, ravioli, etc.

The food bank, located in the lower level of the municipal building, is open 8:30-10 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month.

Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St., is planning its New Year’s Eve celebration - the Silvester Feier - from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 31.

There will be a hot buffet meal, beer, wine and cake and coffee after 5 p.m.

Musical entertainment will be the Emil Schanta Band.

Ring in the New Year 6 p.m., which is midnight in Vienna, Austria.

The event is open to all members and guests.

St. John’s Lutheran Church is planning a chicken potpie pickup dinner Jan. 21, 2023.

The church is assembling a yearlong celebration for 2023 as the church celebrates its 150th anniversary.
