Constance B. Kovacs, 84, of Bethlehem, died of pancreatic cancer on December 6, 2022, in Sacred Heart Living, Center Valley. Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Stianche) Pislak. She was the wife of the late James E. Kovacs for 59 years.
She was a Summit High School graduate. She completed a nursing program at Sacred Heart School of Nursing.
She was a registered nurse at several Lehigh Valley Hospitals and for private practices.
She was a member of Assumption B.V.M. Church and was a member of the Young at Heart group and the greeter committee.
She was a volunteer with Meals On Wheels.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Bertsch and husband Timothy; two sons, David and wife Lisa and Robert; three sisters, Elizabeth Dickman, Ann Marie Lill (George) and Marylin Pislak; a brother, John Pislak (Tambria); seven grandchildren, Michael and Nicholas Bertsch, Nicole Souders, Amanda Schmidt, Emily Farris and Kelsey and Ryan Kovacs; and five great-grandchildren, Hailey, Aiden, Jude, Michael and Nolan.
She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, John Dickman; and a daughter-in-law, Colleen Kovacs.
There will be a calling hour from 9:3o-10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. January 14, 2023, in Assumption B.V.M. Church, Northampton
Contributions may be made to Meals On Wheels or to a charity of one’s choice.
