PRESS PHOTOS BY MARIEKE ANDRONACHE This year marks the 94th anniversary of the Sheeprock Trail Hike on Thanksgiving Day morning. It is estimated nearly 200 hikers came out Nov. 24 to take part in this year's hike, which is 3 miles long.

And they are off from the Macungie Volunteer Fire Department, 31 S. Walnut St., Macungie. Facing clear skies and 25 degree weather, flashlights in hand, the hikers are ready to start the trail.

The Thanksgiving message is provided by T.J. Seislove, 2022 Eagle Scout. The event is sponsored by Macungie Boy Scout Troop 71.
