Harlan O. Blose, 94, of Lehighton, formerly of Walnutport, died Dec. 9, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospice Inpatient Unit, Allentown.
He and his wife, LaRue E. (Metzger) Blose, were married 72 years.
Born May 8, 1928, in Washington Township, he was the son of the late Oliver C. and Helen M. (Krause) Blose.
He was a truck driver for J.W. Goodliffe in Allentown for many years before retiring.
He also was a farm hand on the Stanley Ringer Farm, Neffs.
A master of the former Washington Grange, he was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Slatington, where he formerly served on the consistory.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son Vernon S. Blose of Lehighton; siblings Alton L. Blose of Northampton, Jeanette E. Griffith of Vermont, Marie A. Mark of Catasauqua, and Linda M. Durback (Charles) of Allentown; grandchildren Douglas and Kari; and great-grandchildren Max, Riley, Reece and Bailey.
He was predeceased by a son, Hubert D. Blose, and siblings Oliver, Kenneth and Sherwood Blose, and Shirley Ringer.
