Dollard S. Guth
Dollard S. Guth, 93, of Walnutport, formerly of Ruchsville, died Dec. 9, 2022, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus, Easton.
He was the husband of the late Sarah E. (Laub) Guth.
Born Feb. 12, 1929, in Egypt, Whitehall, he was the son of the late Douglass R. and Elsie A. (Crouthamel) Guth.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War era.
A graduate of Temple University with a degree in trade and industrial education, he was an Instructor at LCTI (formerly Lehigh County Vocational Technical School), Schnecksville, for 24 years before retiring in 1993.
Before that, he taught in the Allentown School District for several years.
A member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Laurys Station, he also was a member of the Keenagers of Laurys Station, and the Walnutport and Slatington senior citizen groups.
He was a member of the Antique Auto Club of America and proudly owned a 1951 Chevy Belair hardtop.
His survivors include a son Daniel S. Guth of Walnutport; four granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; and sister Lucille E. Flamisch of Bath.
He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey; a grandson, James; and four siblings.
His memorial service will be 11 a.m. Dec. 19 in St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, with the Rev. Dr. James T. Gottwald officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Monday in the church.
Interment with military honors will follow the service at Egypt Cemetery, Whitehall.
