The Salisbury Elementary School winter concert will be held Dec. 16 and divided into two parts. The first half will be the third and fourth grade classes and the band 9:20 a.m.

The second half will be the kindergarten, first and second grade classes 10:10 a.m.

Each grade was assigned a color to wear: kindergarten: white, first grade: red, second grade: green, third grade: red and fourth grade: green.

The next T-shirt day at SES is Dec. 16.

Salisbury Middle School will have spirit week starting Dec. 16 with an ugly sweater contest. On Dec. 19 there will be a Winter Whiteout - everyone is encouraged to wear white. Dec. 20 will be Lumberjack Day - wear flannel and boots.

Students are permitted and encouraged to wear pajamas to school Dec. 21. Lastly, Light It Up Day is Dec. 22 where students are encouraged to wear holiday accessories that light up. Have fun!

SES will have a spirit week Dec. 19-22. Dec. 19 is candy cane day: wear red and white. Dec. 20 is Lumberjack Day: wear flannel shirts, boots and a warm hat. Dec. 21 is Long Winter’s Nap: wear pajamas but no slippers. Students must wear shoes. Lastly, Dec. 22 is Holiday or Winter Sweater Day.

Salisbury Township schools will have an early dismissal Dec. 22 with Salisbury High School and SMS dismissing 12:15 p.m. and SES 1:15 p.m. All schools will be closed for winter break Dec. 23 through Jan. 2, 2023.

We are so lucky to have so many different places to go and experience holiday magic and lights in and around the Lehigh Valley. We have Lights in the Parkway at the Lehigh Parkway and Christmas City Village in Downtown Bethlehem. There is Christmas in Color at Dorney Park and Winter Light Spectacular at the Lehigh Valley Zoo. I encourage you to take some time to visit at least one of these places and to visit their websites for pricing and hours of operation.

Santa is available for pictures at the South Mall, 3300 Lehigh St. He will be there every weekend through Christmas.

Salisbury Township offices will be closed Dec. 23 and 26.
