Margaret J. Reed, 90, of Lehighton, Carbon County, formerly of Schnecksville, and Monaca, Beaver County, died peacefully Dec. 2, 2022, in her home. She was the wife of the late Robert G. Reed.

Born Nov. 5, 1932, in Newbury, England, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Kathleen (Hayward) Parker.

She was a former member of the Lutheran congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Heidelberg Township.

Her survivors include children Julie M. Hein and her husband, Daniel, of New Tripoli, Robert C. Reed and his wife, Rachelle, of Breinigsville, Debra A. Danner and her companion, Richard Weikert, of Hellertown, Lisa D. Keiser and her companion, Patrick E. Markes, with whom she resided; brother Kenneth C. Parker and his wife, Marion, of England; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Audrey Leary.

A private graveside service will take place Dec. 9 at Heidelberg Union Cemetery, Heidelberg Township, with the Rev. Michelle G. Funk officiating.

There will be no public calling hours.
