LCTI opens science program applications to EHS students

The Emmaus High School Theater Department will hold auditions for “Fiddler on the Roof,” its spring musical, Dec. 14-16. On these dates, each audition session will run 2:30-6:30 p.m. in the EHS auditorium. All audition materials may be found in the group’s Schoology page with code 4GHW-J9CJ-Z3KQB.
Makeups for the Literature Keystone Exam will be administered Dec. 15-16 during the school day. All students required to complete or make up a Keystone Exam have been notified.
Habitat for Humanity will hold its annual Christmas party after school Dec. 20 in Room 513. To this meeting, all members should bring a gift exchange item worth up to $5.
In preparation for the holiday season, the EHS Theater Department will hold a holiday party 2:30-4 p.m. Dec. 21 in Room 201, the Black Box.
EHS will follow a half-day bell schedule Dec. 22, with an 11 a.m. dismissal. However, if a snow make up day is necessary, Dec. 22 will follow a normal bell schedule. For the rest of winter break, the school will be closed Dec. 23 through Jan. 2, 2023. Midterm exams will be administered approximately two weeks after students return, with more details to follow as the date nears. For the 2023-2024 school year, Lehigh Career and Technical Institute is accepting applications for the Animal Sciences and Emerging Health Professionals programs. Both competitive programs offer dual enrollment college credits, shadowing experience and industry credentials for subjects such as biology and anatomy. Applications are open to current juniors only, with a due date of Jan. 6, 2023. Before applying, interested students should contact their school counselor.
As a service group, Interact Club continually adds new volunteer opportunities to its sign-up sheet and seeks new involvement from its members. Visit the club’s Schoology page to access the latest volunteer events. Scores for the October Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test are now available on Naviance or at https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt. Scores may also be accessed through students’ school email accounts.
