Jean M. Makem, 97, of Allentown, died Dec. 7, 2022, at Abode Care of Allentown. She was the wife of the late Alfred A. Makem Jr. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late John O’Donnell and Elsie (Heiser) Brucker.

She was a graduate of Allentown High School, Class of 1942.

She was a supervisor of housekeeping and linens at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, until retiring.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus.

She is survived by sons, Robert (Jeanne) and Thomas (Tegwedd); daughter, Margaret Homick (Stephen); three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Wagner.
