Glenn R. George, 74, of Neffs, died Dec. 1, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospice Inpatient Unit, Allentown.

He and his wife, Joanne M. (Scharl) George, were married 55 years.

Born April 2, 1948, in Northampton, he was the son of the late Edwin J. George Jr. and Salome B. (Kern) George.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era.

An assembler at Air Products and Chemicals Inc. for 45 years, he retired in 2011.

He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son, Earl P. George and his wife, Jeanine Villano-George, of Walnutport; grandson Anthony T. George, who is completing his studies at Villanova University; sister Sandra Rex of Slatington; a niece and two nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Dec. 8 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Kris P. Snyder officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects noon-1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment with military honors will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
