The Emmaus Historical Society’s monthly membership meeting and Christmas party is scheduled 5:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall, 501 Chestnut St. Gather for an evening of cheer, friendship and holiday entertainment. Call the museum if you plan to attend and state whether you will contribute an appetizer, side dish or dessert. Don’t forget to wear your favorite Christmas sweater. Programs are free and members and nonmembers are welcome to attend.
Dec. 18
The Macungie Band will present a mix of sacred and secular music for the holidays at the Zentz Community Center on the campus of the Fellowship Community, 3020 Fellowship Drive, Whitehall. Director Michael Moran will give the downbeat 3 p.m. The concert is free and donations will be accepted.
Dec. 24
St. Peter’s Union Church, 7863 St. Peters Road, Macungie, will host a Christmas Eve candlelight service, 7 p.m. All are welcome.

Jan. 3
The Crazy Quilters Quilt Guild meets 6:30 p.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus. The meeting will feature the guild’s annual Quilt Challenge, a friendly competition among guild members who present quilts and quilted projects featuring a chosen theme. This year’s theme, “It’s Only Natural,” will be a display of quilts depicting something in nature. Visitors are welcome.
