Betty Mae Gehringer, 99, of Country Meadows, Allentown, died Nov. 23, 2022.

She and her husband, Luther (Dopey Duncan) Gehringer, were married 41 years.

Born Dec. 4, 1922, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Miriam (Solt) Knauss.

She was a gentle soul whose goal in life was to make a comfortable home for her family and to support her husband in his many endeavors.

Her survivors include a son, Geoffrey, of Emmaus; daughter, Donna, wife of David Raedler, of Pennsburg; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; her brother, Jerome Knauss and his companion, Nancy, of Allentown; and her sister, Charlotte Nowers, of Cornwall.

She was predeceased by companion, Horace Eisenhardt of Country Meadows, and her sister, Mary Leibenguth of Emmaus.

Her services will be private.

Contributions may be made in her name to a charity of one’s choice.
