North Catasauqua: Gift delivery is Dec. 11

North Catasauqua Fire Department’s annual Operation Santa will take place Dec. 11, with visits beginning 10 a.m.

The fire department will escort Santa around town as he delivers gifts. Any North Catasauqua resident may be visited by Santa, who will remain outside for each visit, and Santa’s helper will make sure the gift you provide will be given to your child, family member or friend during their visit with Santa.

Gifts and completed registration forms - available at northcatasauqua.org/news - can be dropped off at the fire station office in the basement of borough hall, 1066 Fourth St. Use the Arch Street entrance.

Drop-offs will be accepted 6-9 p.m. Dec. 9. Have each gift securely wrapped and labeled with the recipient’s name and address.

If you have questions, call 610-266-1969 or email secretsanta@ncfd18.com.

If you are not home Dec. 11, your gift will be held at the fire department for you to pick up.

North Catasauqua Police Department is asking the public to donate to Toys for Tots this holiday season.

The Toys for Tots donation box is located in the lobby of the borough building and can be accessed during normal business hours.

To donate after business hours, contact Lehigh County Communications at 610-437-5252, and an on-duty officer will assist you.

The department hopes the community will once again come together to provide cheer to families and children in need on Christmas morning by donating new, unused, unopened toys, which will be given to the United States Marine Corps. The program benefits families and children nationwide.

Thank you in advance for your support and generosity.

The police department has partnered with the Bethlehem Health Bureau and Project Lifesaver International.

PLI is a program of protective involvement and specialized operations that responds to incidents of victims of Alzheimer’s, autism, Down syndrome and related disorders who have wandered away from a safe location and cannot find their way back to safety. The mission is to save lives and to protect those who become lost or wander.

There is currently no cost to enroll. If you would like to enroll a family member into the PLI program, contact Officer Santiago at 610-437-5252 or Zoraida Garcia, of Bethlehem Health Bureau, at 610-865-4698.
