Hokendauqua: Bus trip planned
Whitehall Township is hosting a bus trip to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square Dec. 10.
The bus will leave the municipal building, 3219 MacArthur Road, 2 p.m. and will depart the attraction site 10 p.m.
The cost of a ticket - $80 - includes transportation and admission.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, Mickleys, 2819 MacArthur Road, will host a pictures with Santa event 1-4 p.m. Dec. 11. Just bring your own camera to have these memories captured.
There will also be hot chocolate and crafts at this free event.

Whitehall Fire Department Station 38 and Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association will be conducting their annual Operation Santa Dec. 11.
Gift drop-offs will not be held this year. Instead, Santa and his helpers will be handing out treats and accepting donations.
The Christmas tree farm will also not be open this season due to a shortage of trees, according to the station’s Facebook page. The station hopes to be able to continue this tradition in 2023 and wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season.

Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative has its next free community meal 4-6:30 p.m. Dec. 20 at Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church, 3300 Seventh St. The meal is guaranteed for the first 100 guests.
