Sgt. 1st Class Dean T. Wellington, 55, of Beverly Hills, Fla., died Dec. 1, 2022. He was the husband of Christina L. (Snyder) Wellington for 11 years.

Formally of Allentown, he was a son of Patricia Schwank and the late Robert Wellington.

He was a credit short of earning a Bachelor of Science degree in public health.

He was a career Army man and had tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo and Germany. He retired as a Sgt. 1st Class E7.

He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and National Rifle Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Benjamin Wellington, Justin Wellington and Cole Davis; three daughters; Janine, Sadey and Miley Wellington; four brothers, Robert, Keith, Jody and James; a sister, Brenda Wellington; three grandchildren, Forrest Michael Ashcraft and Nevaeh and Jaxon Wellington; nieces; and nephews.

There will be a calling hour 10-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service 11 a.m., Dec. 8 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, Whitehall.
