David L. Strohecker, 80, of Zionsville, died Nov. 30, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Cherolyn Strohecker for 52 years and Nancy Carls Strohecker, for four years.
He was a 1960 graduate of William Allen High School and joined the Army and served in the 82nd Airborne.
He retired from Bethlehem Steel/Beth Forge.
He will be remembered for his strong faith, service as an adult Sunday school teacher for 42 years at Boulevard/Christ EC Church and love for sharing God’s word.
His favorite pastime was traveling with Nancy and spending time with his family and friends gathered for picnics around his pool.
He is survived by his son, John G. and his wife, Jackie; daughters, Trudi L. and her husband, Brian Coffman; Tami S. and her husband, Glenn Robinson; grandchildren, Jaimie, Christopher and Austin Evans, Daniel and Deanna Jackson; great-grandchildren, Casimir (and very soon to be born) Nash Evans; stepchildren, Karen Berard, Kathy L. Canfield, LCDR John W. Carls, Ph.D. and James W. Carls.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Dec. 9 at the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown. Call 10 a.m. until service time. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
