The Michael Ann and Saquon Barkley Hope Foundation designer purse bingo is planned for Dec. 9 at American Club of Coplay, 300 Cherry St.

Doors open 5 p.m., and bingo starts 6 p.m.

There will be food and beverages for sale. All proceeds benefit the foundation.

Coplay Food Bank is seeking donations for the holiday season. Much-needed items are canned sweet potatoes, canned fruit, Jell-O mixes, cereal, peanut butter, jelly and canned meats like SpaghettiOs, ravioli, etc.

Drop off items at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St.

The food bank, located in the lower level of the municipal building, is open 8:30-10 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month.

If unable to attend the scheduled Tuesday morning time frame, call Jodi at 610-262-0928 to make other arrangements.

Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St., is planning its New Year’s Eve celebration - the Silvester Feier - 3-7 p.m. Dec. 31.

There will be a hot buffet meal, beer, wine and cake and coffee after 5 p.m.

Musical entertainment will be the Emil Schanta Band.

Ring in the New Year 6 p.m., which is midnight in Vienna, Austria.

The event is open to all members and guests.
