Marianne I. Mann, 91, of Allentown, died Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, 2022, at Phoebe Home. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Mann, who died in 2016. Born in Yonkers, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Eugene T. and Viola (Bartos) Schmidt.

She worked as a waitress at the former Benetz Inn, Quakertown and at HCSC Laundry.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and Mountainville Lions Club. She was president of the Salisbury PTA from 1963-1964 and president of the Mountainville Lady Lions from 1965-1966. She was a volunteer and regional director at the March of Dimes.

She was an avid sewer and high quality needleworker, which included knitting, crocheting and quilting.

She is survived by her daughters, Jobette Balliet, of Allentown, Barbara J. and her husband, David Bailey, of Bethlehem, Susan L. and her husband, Richard Herschlag, of Easton; son, John E. and his wife, Lois, of Wind Gap; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Schmidt.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Dec. 2 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., 46 E. Susquehanna St. A viewing for relatives and friends will be held 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
