Gratitude Club collecting toiletries for EHS Angel Network

The Emmaus High School Theater Department will host an Evening of Theater 7-9 p.m. Dec. 1 in Room 201, the Black Box. This event will also include the induction ceremony for the International Thespian Society.
The Algebra Keystone Exam will be administered during the school days Dec. 5-6, with makeups scheduled Dec. 8-9.
The Literature Keystone Exam will be administered during the school day Dec. 12-13, with makeups scheduled Dec. 15-16. All students required to complete a Keystone Exam will be notified before the date of administration.
For current juniors interested in attending the Emerging Health Professionals or Animal Sciences programs at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute during the next school year, an informational session will be held 1:30-2:25 p.m. Dec. 7. Habitat for Humanity’s holiday fundraiser is open now through Dec. 9. To purchase wreaths, sprays, centerpieces and more, visit www.giftitforward.com and use code EMMAUSPA002. Add “Maria Russo” or the name of a club member in the corresponding field. Items may be shipped to any location.
The Shelter House Society is accepting submissions for its second annual essay competition. Students are invited to write original essays on the history of Emmaus, Macungie, Alburtis, Wescosville or other neighborhoods within the East Penn community. Prizes include monetary awards and winning essays will be featured in the society’s annual publication, “The Hearthstone.” For details, visit the EHS announcements website. To restock the EHS Angel Network, the Gratitude Club is collecting new toiletries. Shampoo and conditioner are needed in the highest quantities. Donations may be dropped off at Room 504.
Throughout the month of December, the Interact Club will create letters from “Santa” for the children of EHS faculty. Writers, editors, addressers and stuffers are needed for this project. To sign up for a volunteer role, visit the Interact Club Schoology page. All letter drafts are due Dec. 7.
