Walter H. Snyder Sr., 82, of Germansville, died Nov. 20, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the husband of the late Carol Ann (Rex) Snyder.

Born April 8, 1940, in Lowhill Township, he was the son of the late Dillen and Edna M. (Snyder) Werley Snyder.

A proud 1958 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, he was a lifelong farmer in Heidelberg, Lowhill and Washington townships before retiring in 2014.

In addition, he and his wife owned and operated the former Snyder’s Produce, Germansville, for 17 years.

An avid baseball fan, he enjoyed supporting the Phillies and Dodgers.

He loved his family, farming and all animals.

He was a member of Morgenland Union Church, Orefield.

His survivors include children Sharon L. Bagenstose (Michael) of New Tripoli, Karen L. Keichel (Edward Sr.) of New Tripoli, Walter H. Snyder Jr., with whom he resided, Stephanie A. Fenstermacher (Thomas) of New Tripoli, and William D. Snyder of Germansville; sister Clara Geiger of Orefield; grandchildren Edward Keichel Jr. (Carissa), Caitlin Fenstermacher (Jimmy), Samantha Bagenstose, Ethan Keichel (Joanna), Dillen Snyder (Mia), Lauren Bernhard (Ryan), Allison Haaf (Jonathan), and Daniel Fenstermacher; great-grandchildren Granger Keichel and Maren Keichel; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by siblings Irene, George, Charles, Frederick and Ralph.

His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Nov. 29 at Morgenland Union Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Tuesday in the church.

Interment will follow the service at the adjacent church cemetery.
