Northampton: Northampton Borough schedules tree lighting for Nov. 27

Northampton’s tree lighting will be 5:30 p.m. Nov. 27 at the triangle, Main Street and Laubach Avenue.

Pennsylvania Classical Ballet and Good Shepherd Catholic School Choir will perform.

Rumor has it Santa will be make an early holiday appearance. All children in attendance will receive a goody bag.

Join the Northampton Area and Greater Bath Area Chambers of Commerce representatives as they kick off their annual Christmas at the Roxy event with a holiday mix and mingle, set for 7 p.m. Dec. 6 and 7 and 12:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Roxy Theatre, 2004 Main St.

Christmas at the Roxy is a two-night Northampton holiday tradition. This event is free, with suggested $5 donations at the door to support Greater Northampton Area Chamber’s scholarship fund.

Come join to network over light bites, then stay for the show. This year’s feature film will be “White Christmas.”

Admission is free, but the Chambers kindly request a canned good donation for Northampton Area Food Bank.

Seats are first come, first served.

Grace United Church of Christ is holding its homemade Christmas candy sale. Choose from nonpareils, peppermint bark, peanut butter delights and peanut and pretzel clusters.

Orders and payment are due Dec. 4.

Pickup is scheduled for 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 17 at the church, 902 Lincoln Ave.
