Burglary
Three males allegedly forcibly entered Smokin’ Zone in the Walmart plaza, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:40 a.m. Sept. 20 and removed cigarettes and vape cartridges, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Vehicle theft
A 2022 Volkswagen Atlas SUV was removed from a driveway at a location on Stonebridge Drive, Lower Macungie Township, overnight Sept. 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were inside when two people took the vehicle. The vehicle was recovered on Lehigh Street in Macungie borough and returned.
A blue Yamaha ATV was removed from Blackmans Cycle Center, 4911 Buckeye Road, Upper Milford Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The theft was reported Sept. 27 but may have happened two months earlier, according to authorities.
An Amigo VS Value Shopper motorized electric shopping cart scooter, valued at $1,500, was removed from Whole Foods, 750 N. Krocks Road, Suite 301, Lower Macungie Township, sometime between 8 p.m. Sept. 12 and 8 p.m. Sept. 20, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Retail theft
A 29-year-old female, of Bethlehem, a 26-year-old female, also of Bethlehem and a 33-year-old female, of Bangor, allegedly worked together to remove merchandise valued at $258.69 from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, Oct. 8, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Store employees observed the women taking items and attempting to leave the store without paying. Items taken included diapers, trash bags and clothing.
Someone removed a pair of UGG boots, valued at $144.97, from discount retailer Nordstrom Rack, 750 N. Krocks Road, Suite 303, Lower Macungie Township, 6:38 p.m. Oct. 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A person under rang merchandise with a total value of $35.76 at Weis Markets, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 3:45 p.m. Nov. 12, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The suspect was seen on surveillance video while using a self-check terminal at the store. An investigation led authorities to the suspect’s home and she was cited for alleged retail theft.
Store employees saw a person remove a robotic vacuum, valued at $300, from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 5:14 p.m. Oct. 30, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A woman allegedly removed merchandise with a total value of approximately $57 from Giant Food Stores, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 11 a.m. Oct. 6, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Loss prevention employees at the store noticed the woman on store surveillance video footage.
A woman allegedly removed $121 worth of products from Giant Food Stores, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 8:22 a.m. Oct. 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. She left the area in a white Mazda sedan, according to authorities.
Three suspects removed approximately $1,000 in merchandise from Hausman’s Fruit Farm store, 2822 Limeport Pike, Lower Milford Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Oct. 12 and likely happened Oct. 8, according to authorities.
A 54-year-old female, of Kutztown, allegedly under rang $77.42 in merchandise, including jeans, a top and two packs of vitamins, at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 5:31 p.m. Oct. 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
An 81-year-old female, of Allentown, allegedly concealed and removed a lipstick case from Nordstrom Rack, 750 N. Krocks Road, Suite 303, Lower Macungie Township, 2:30 p.m. Sept. 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 33-year-old female, of Allentown, was arrested for allegedly removing various clothing valued at $759.91 from Nordstrom Rack, 750 N. Krocks Road, Suite 303, Lower Macungie Township, between Sept. 1 and 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Authorities describe the female as an employee of the retailer at the time.
Two people allegedly removed $1,279.04 worth of merchandise from CVS Pharmacy, 958 S. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, Sept. 17, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A person removed approximately $685 in merchandise from Weis Markets, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 22.
PFA violation
A 51-year-old male, of Macungie, was charged with allegedly violating a protection from abuse order after troopers were called to a location in the 6900 block of Hauser Road, Lower Macungie Township, noon Sept. 20, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Scam
A resident of Allen Circle, Lower Macungie Township, was swindled out of $15,900 through a scam involving digital currency, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The resident was persuaded to send the digital currency through a QR code. The incident was reported Oct. 6.
A resident of Charles Road, Upper Milford Township, was persuaded to give another person $14,000 in digital currency after being contacted online and by telephone, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 16.
A resident of the 1100 block of Grange Road, Lower Macungie Township, was swindled out of approximately $5,000 when attempting to contact customer service for a social media site, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 27.
Theft
A push lawn mower was stolen from in front of a residence on Sequoia Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 4:35 p.m. Oct. 8, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The owner of the lawn mower captured the incident on his doorbell camera and told troopers a person in a blue truck pulled up in front of his residence and took the lawn mower. Troopers located the truck during a search of the neighborhood, contacted the truck’s owner and the lawn mower, valued at $250, was returned.
An Allentown woman realized her purse and wallet were stolen after she learned two charges, totaling $60.45, were made to her bank account, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 16. Items taken included a Pennsylvania driver’s license, a debit card and an EBT card.
A wallet containing a driver’s license and six credit cards was removed from a woman’s purse while she was away from her shopping cart at Hobby Lobby, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 7.
Silver buffalo dollar coins, valued at $171.11, were removed from a location on Jasper Road, Upper Milford Township, between Sept. 22 and 26, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Someone allegedly cashed a fraudulent check for $4,300 at Univest Bank and Trust, 5089 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 2:31 p.m. Sept. 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
