Carol A. Merkel, 77, formerly of Krumsville, died Nov. 15, 2022, at home in Kutztown. She was the wife of Harold N. Merkel for 51 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Arlan and Vivian (Weaver) Moser.

She was a cook at Valentino’s Restaurant, Kutztown, more than 10 years.

She was a member of Ziegels Lutheran Church, Breinigsville, and the Topton American Legion.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Tammy Bauer with Paul of Wescosville; a sister, Elaine Baer of Coplay; three brothers, Arlan Moser Jr. with Donna of Allentown, Clair Moser with Ruth of Ohio and Robert Moser with Sarah of Bethlehem; two stepgrandchildren, Ashley and Aubrey Bauer; nieces; and nephews.
