African American Writers Series: Octavia Butler and The Parable Of The Sower. 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. Octavia Butler was a Hugo and Nebula award-winning science fiction author, whose work has been described as “evocative” and “far-reaching.” The discussion about the first book in her unfinished “Parable” series, led by Lehigh University professor Stephanie Powell Watts, will be held on Zoom.
