The Allentown Band, SwingTime Dolls, Chet Brown, “Americans We Tribute to Veterans-Holiday Concert,” 3 p.m. Nov. 20, Miller Symphony. Allentown Band Music Director Ronald Demkee conducts the Allentown Band in a concert to honor veterans with special recognition to those who served in World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Accompanying the band with patriotic and holiday favorites will be SwingTime Dolls and Chet Brown. The SwingTime Dolls, above, is a female vocal group that performs tunes of the American Hit Parade of the 1940s, as well as 1960s classics of the Vietnam era. Drawing on inspiration from The Andrews Sisters, the Dolls pride themselves on tight and intricate harmonies. Tickets: box office, Miller Symphony Hall, 23 N. Neal McCoy, South Penn Dixie, 8 p.m. Nov. 18, Penn’s Peak, Jim Thorpe. Rescheduled from May 5, 2022. Original tickets will be honored. Doors open at 6 p.m. Neal McCoy has released 15 studio albums. In 1993, McCoy had back-to-back No. 1 singles, “No Doubt About It” and “Wink,” from his platinum-certified album “No Doubt About It.” His commercial success continued into the late 1990s with two more platinum albums and a gold album, as well as six more Top 10 hits. A seventh Top 10 hit, “Billy’s Got His Beer Goggles On,” came in 2005 from his self-released “That’s Life.” Other albums include “XII” (2012), “Pride: A Tribute to Charley Pride” (2013), “Big Band Standards” (2015) and “You Don’t Know Me” (2017). “Steve Brosky Sings Tom Waits,” 7 p.m. Nov. 23, Godfrey Daniels, Bethlehem. Lehigh Valley favorite Steve Brosky returns to the Godfrey stage to perform from the legendary Tom Waits Songbook. Brosky will be joined by area musicians. Brosky, an Allentown native, Vietnam War veteran and Whitehall resident, released “Still” (2017), his latest CD of original songs.
