Salisbury Elementary School will hold parent/teacher conferences Nov. 17-22 and will have 1:15 p.m. dismissal Nov. 17-23.

Salisbury Middle School will have parent/teacher conferences Nov. 21 and 22 and 12:15 p.m. dismissal Nov. 21-23.

Salisbury High School will have a 12:15 p.m. dismissal Nov. 23. All schools will be closed Nov. 24, 25 and 28 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The next T-shirt day at SES is Nov. 18.

It’s hard to believe it is that time of year already, but the SES Holiday Shop begins Nov. 29.

Along those same lines, the Winter Light Spectacular at Lehigh Valley Zoo runs now through Jan. 1, 2023 with more than 1.2 million lights and visits by Disney’s Elsa, Anna, Belle and Cinderella. For a list of dates and times of Disney visitors and pricing, visit lvzoo.org.

Santa will be available for pictures at the South Mall, 3300 Lehigh St. starting Dec. 3. He will be there every weekend through Christmas.

Leaf collection has started in the township. Place clean leaves loosely on the curbside. They may not have any other branches or yard waste mixed in and may not be in bags. The township website will post where in the township the crews will be working.

Salisbury Township yard waste drop off sites are open. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Franko Farm will be open Nov. 17 and 19. The Devonshire site will be open Nov. 21 and 26. NOTE: This will be the last weeks the sites will be open until the spring.
