Jean Russell Mulvaney, 89, of Allentown, died Nov. 7, 2022.

She was the beloved wife of the late Rev. Harold Mulvaney.

Born April 9, 1933, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late James and Marian (Huntsman) Russell.

A devoted mother to Eileen (Larry) Kelley, Linda (Mark) Reid, Joanne (Shawn) Goonewardene, and Sharon (Joe) Licari, she enjoyed spending time with her 12 grandchildren and, more recently, her great-granddaughter.

She was an active member of Living Hope OPC, Allentown.

She enjoyed her weekly exercise classes and was passionate about researching her ancestors.

An avid puzzle maker, who loved Cape May, she looked forward to the latest edition of Cape May magazine.

She will be remembered as a woman devoted to God, family and church, and will be thought of affectionately for her quiet commitment to serve.

She lived out her favorite verses, Prov. 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.”
