November is National Novel Writing Month.
Whitehall Township Public Library will continue to hold gatherings 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Anyone at any stage of the writing process is welcome to join. There will be word sprints, prompts and other games, with plenty of time to write.

Allentown Health Bureau is planning to hold a fall-prevention presentation 6 p.m. Nov. 30, as well as an opioid presentation 6 p.m. Dec. 7.
The fall-prevention presentation will discuss how to prevent falls, precautions to take and safe habits.
The opioid presentation will discuss how to prevent overdoses, how to store opioids and steps to discard when no longer in use. This presentation will also discuss other methods of pain management and signs to look out for when taking opioids.

There is a Christmas pine cone craft, set for 6 p.m. Dec. 1 for adults ages 18 and up. Participants will create their own pine cone Christmas tree.

Holiday storytimes are scheduled for 11 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Dec. 7, 14 and 21. Each day will feature a different holiday with stories, traditions and crafts.

The library is happy to welcome back barber shop quartet ffourtissimo 6:30 p.m. Dec. 15. If you enjoy a cappella music, come hear this quartet as they deliver fun renditions of classic holiday songs, as well as a few newer tunes.
