Members of Whitehall Area Rotary Club visited the students in Ms. Bridget Santiago’s Life Skills class at Whitehall-Coplay Middle School Oct. 21.
The club received a district Rotary grant to help the students expand their small business, the Zephyr Cafe. A new refrigerator, microwave and bagel slicer were among the supplies purchased through the grant.
The Zephyr Cafe helps students gain real-life experience and employability skills. Students sell bagels and coffee to teachers and staff on select days, as well as cater some school meetings.
