Matthew L. Hummel, 30, died Nov. 2, 2022. Born in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of Vicki Sames and the late Norman L. Hummel.

Most recently he worked as an arborist. He loved tree climbing as well as motocross, snowboarding, jet skiing or anything adrenaline pumping.

He was an ardent animal lover.

He was a former member of Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company.

He is survived by his mother and her husband, Bill Sames; brothers, Norman, Robert and Troy Phillips; sisters, Shari Hopkins and Linda Lilly; extended family. He was predeceased by grandparents, Helen and Edward Carpenter and Marie and Albert.
