Carol A. Makovsky, 68, of Whitehall, died Nov. 10, 2022, at home. She was the wife of Dennis J. Makovsky for 49 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of Farrest and Patricia (McElroy) Marushak.

She was a secretary for Stuyvesant Insurance, the Diocese of Allentown and Vitalistic Therapeutic Center.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Rachel Spiegel and husband Thomas; two sons, Mark and partner Melissa Yeisley and Adam and wife Yixin; five grandchildren, Jude Luckenbill and fiance Andrew Frisch, Bailey Luckenbill and partner Alyssa Gaulden, Mabel Makovsky, Mallory Makovsky and Pearl Makovsky; a sister, Kathy Gerhard; and two brothers, James Marushak and wife Brenda and Neil Marushak and wife Lynne.

Contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice.
