The Freedom HS Theatre Company presents “Schoolhouse Rock Live” in four performances on Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 1 and 7 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m. in the school auditorium.
As a young teacher prepares for a new school year, his emotions come to life through other characters who remind him that learning can be fun. Justin Amann directs and is assisted by Natalie Parker. Denise Parker (music director), Vanessa Ruggiero (choreographer, Chris Domanski (set designer), Adam Stoltz (sound designer) Priscilla Salazar (costumer and prop designer) and stage managers Emily Sheridan and Abigail Shapiro round out the production team.
“Schoolhouse Rock Live” is adapted and produced for the stage by Theatre BAM. It is from the series created by George Newall Tom Yohe and is based on an idea by David McCall and the book by Scott Ferguson, George Keating and Kyle Hall. Music and lyrics are by Lynn Ahrens, Bob Dorough, Dave Frishberg, Kathy Mandry, George Newall and Tom Yohe.
