Ronald K. Raymond, 80, of Bethlehem Township, died Oct. 29, 2022. He was the husband of Beverly J. Raymond for 49 years. Born in Oak Park, Ill., he was a son of the late Ruth (Lefeber) and Keefe H. Raymond.
He was a member of the U.S. Army.
He graduated from RCA Institutes and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Penn State University.
He was an electrical engineer, working mainly with semiconductors. He played the trombone in many local bands including the Municipal Band of Bethlehem, Moravian Trombone Choir, Dave Neith Orchestra and the Liberty HS Alumni Band. He participated in TAPS Across America.
He was a member of Mountain View Moravian Church and sang in the church choir.
He was a member of the Delaware-Lehigh Amateur Radio Club and of the Masons. He flew planes and. operated ham radios. He helped others by fixing anything that he could.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Raymond; a brother, Timothy Raymond; a sister, Diane Raymond; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Widdop.
