Frederick W. Snyder, 79, of Breinigsville, died Nov. 3, 2022, with his family by his side at his home.

He was the loving husband of Gloria J. (Greenawald) Snyder.

Born March 23, 1943, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Elwood W. and Elsie M. (Muth) Snyder.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army National Guard.

For 33 years, he was a member of the Carpenter’s Local 600.

An avid deer hunter, he was a life member of the Guthsville Hunting Club, the Issick Walton Archery Club, and the National Rifle Association.

He also enjoyed oldies music.

A longtime member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Trexlertown, he served on the church council and on the property and maintenance committee.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Michelle Kurtz (Timothy) of Allentown, and Susan Snyder of Bethlehem; grandchildren Andrew and Jeffrey; great-grandchildren, Emma and Rowan; and brother Henry Snyder (Dern) of Allentown.

He was predeceased by his sister, Eleanor Lakatosh.
